Neeraj Chopra And Pramod Bhagat Receive Padma Awards

Tokyo Olympic Medalists Neeraj Chopra and para athlete Pramod Bhagat received Padma Shri awards from Ramnath Kovind, on Monday.
Neeraj Chopra made the whole country proud when he won the gold medal in javelin throw in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, thereby becoming the first Indian to win a gold in a track event. He is also the only Indian after Abhinav Bindra to secure a gold for the country.

Similarly, Para Athlete Pramod Bhagat won a gold in the Tokyo Para Olympics for badminton. He is also the first Indian to win a gold medal in Paralympics
