Girl Student Found Hanging In NLUO

A second year law student hailing from Haryana was found hanging in the National Law University Girls’ Hostel at around 8 p.m., on April 4. The reason of her death by suicide is unknown as of now. As per the press release by the student body of the institution, the unconscious student was discovered in her room and carried by the students in an ambulance to the nearest hospital. She was then declared brought dead by the hospital authorities.

As per other sources, a suicide note also has been discovered and is in possession of the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem and police have launched an investigation.

Reportedly, the deceased was not seen by her fellow batchmates for two days following which her room was broken into and her body discovered. However, the exact timing can only be established after the post-mortem reports are out.

The press release also said, “While the issue was being raised and discussed with the Vice-Chancellor, she called the Police on the students who had assembled peacefully.”

A condolence meeting is also scheduled to pray for the departed soul.
