What Is Happening In Ukraine And Why?

Since Thursday morning, large scale explosions have been heard in the capital city of Kyiv, Kharkiv and other areas of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Twitter that Putin has “launched a full-scale invasion” of the country. “This is a war of aggression. Ukraine will defend itself and will win. The world can and must stop Putin. The time to act is now.”

Asian stock markets have gone down and prices of oil have surged to the extreme.

President Putin has gone into a war and has accused the U.S. and its allies of ignoring Russia’s demand to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
