The Janata Maidan is housing the 16th Toshali Mela attracting handloom artists and weavers from all around the country. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik on the 28th Of March. It is expected to continue upto 10th of March.
There are as many as 450 stalls set up and the fair has been witnessing 1 lakh visitors everyday. The fair intends to promote handmade creative crafts and less exposed forms of art to the buyers.
The mela has sellers and craftsmen from different states showcasing their best items for the customers.
The 17th Toshali Mela is scheduled to be held in December.
