Odishalinks turns 7, celebrates with drama ‘Kalijuge Jagannath’ and Odishalinks Spotlight Awards

Bhubaneswar, July 4: Odishalinks, the leading digital channel of Odisha, turned 7 recently. and celebrated its seventh anniversary at Bhanja Kala Mandap in the capital city, Bhubaneswar.

On this occasion, a drama, ‘Kalijuge jagannatha’ was staged and individuals who have made significant contributions to journalism were honored. Among the honorees were photojournalist Asit Satpathy, journalist Laxmikant Das, sports journalist Tazeen Qureshy, Aditya Panda, Shritam Maharana, and theater director Narayan Chandra Ojha.

The event had the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development & MSME Minister Gokulananda Mallick, as the Chief Guest, Prelude Chief Satyabrata Rath, singer Jayashree Dhal, social worker and Jai Odisha Chief Rudra Samantaray, and social worker and Living Humanity founder Chinmaya Mohanty, among several other names.

The play ‘Kaliyuge Jagannath’ was directed by Narayan Chandra Ojha (Bapu). Other contributors included Prajnadatta Sahu (stage design), Sanjay Pradhan (lighting), Anjan (music direction), and Mama (costume design).

This spiritually based social play, focusing on the divine acts and devotion to Lord Jagannath in the modern age, deeply moved the audience.
