Government Takes Action Amid NEET UG Paper Leak Controversy; Priyanka Gandhi Criticizes

Share the news

The Indian Medical Association praised the government’s swift response to the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, acknowledging the prompt decisions taken. However, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the Modi government on Sunday for alleged irregularities in national competitive exams, including NEET-UG. She accused the government of allowing the “mafia” and “corrupt” to take control of the education system.

This criticism follows the Union education ministry’s decision to establish a panel to review the National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting these exams, and to recommend reforms. Initial NEET-UG results showed six students with perfect scores of 720, along with 61 others, sparking allegations of mark inflation.

A retest is scheduled at seven centres, six of which are new locations. Officials from the NTA and Union education ministry will be present to ensure the smooth conduct of the re-examination, addressing the reported irregularities and paper leaks.
