US stands with India in critical situation

New Delhi: US will always stand with India in pushing back against constant Chinese probing of Indian sovereignty, Alice G Wells, Former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, said.

The US response comes after Chinese-India border tension along the Line of Actual Control in May first week in the Ladakh sector.

She tweeted that the Chinese behaviour as provocative and disturbing and added that external rebalancing is critical.

The two militaries have held Commander-level talks on June 6 between 14 Corps Chief Lt Gen Harinder Singh and Chinese Maj Gen Liu Lin at Moldo opposite Chushul.

While interacting with Rahul Gandhi former US diplomat Nicholas Burns said that India and the US must work together to make the “authoritarian” China follow the rule of law.
