Odisha and cyclones have been in a long term relationship since ages for now and the coastal state is preparing for yet another one. The Indian Meteorological Department has informed of a low pressure that has formed over the South Andaman sea might intensify into a depression further turning into a cyclonic storm on May 8.
However, the exact place and time of landfall hasn’t been ascertained yet. The IMD has also warned Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal-Sikkim and Odisha of isolated thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds over the next five days.
Isolated/scattered moderate rainfall very likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal-Sikkim and Odisha during next 5 days with isolated thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) over the region on 06th May with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Odisha on 10th May.
