The Saga Of Odisha And Cyclone Continues!

Odisha and cyclones have been in a long term relationship since ages for now and the coastal state is preparing for yet another one. The Indian Meteorological Department has informed of a low pressure that has formed over the South Andaman sea might intensify into a depression further turning into a cyclonic storm on May 8.

However, the exact place and time of landfall hasn’t been ascertained yet. The IMD has also warned Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal-Sikkim and Odisha of isolated thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds over the next five days.

Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena informed,”SRC Odisha will fine tune its planning for response management. Nothing to worry. Odisha Govt well prepared to deal with. All Collectors are preparing well.”
