The displeasure of MP Subhramanian Swamy over various policies of Modi is not uncommon. He is vocal about it on his social media accounts. Swamy recently criticized Modi for not repealing the Places of Worship Act. He in a tweet wrote, “Modi’s track record as PM has been anti Hindu in not upholding BJP Manifesto promises.Examples:Trying to delay SC decision on Ram Mandir, declining ancient heritage status to Ram Setu, takeover of hoary temples of Uttarakhand, refusing to withdraw the 1991 Places of Worship Act.”

Following which he received backlash from the right wing for not being grateful and instead questioning the party he is a part of. Similarly in another recent tweet, Swamy commented on a post asking about the presence of Modi in India.

The Prime Minister is on a two day visit to Japan and on a news piece, Swamy commented, “When is Modi’s next visit to India?”

Swamy later also clarified about him engaging in a twitter war and criticizing the Prime Minister. he said he doesn’t have a personal rift but engages because of policy differences. He also blamed the Prime Minister for allegedly taking indirect digs at him through Hiren Joshi who is the Communications & Information Technology Advisor to the PM.

He wrote in a tweet, “The difference between Modi and me in Twitter is that he has Hiren Joshi employ Andhbhakts and Gandhbhakts on payment to most vulgarly abuse me and my family. I tweet myself and but restrict myself to policy differences. Either we both stop it or exchanges will continue.”

The exchange has gotten Twitter divided, some taking sides of Swamy while some criticizing him for talking against his own party.
