Review Meeting Held On Cuttack’s COVID-19 Preparedness

Cuttack : A review meeting on COVID-19 preparedness in areas under rural Cuttack and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) was held in Cuttack. The rise in detection of COVID-19 cases in hospitals such as SCB Medical College and Hospital, Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) and Shishu Bhawan and observing the lockdown was discussed among other topics.

COVID Observer for Cuttack district Sourav Garg, twin city Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi, directors of the mentioned hospitals and other senior officials attended the meet.

Garg said, “The hospitals have been asked to follow the (COVID-19) SOP. We will have to make sure that the disease is not transmitted from COVID-19 patient to other indoor and outdoor patients. Also, antigen testing has begun which will further help in the detection of cases.”

He added that special teams will carry out active surveillance in Cuttack with special stress on contact tracing.

Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi said that the lockdown, which has been declared till July 31, will be strictly maintained and the police is ready to offer any kind of help need by the administration.
