Odisha Govt To Set Up 7 Additional Dedicated COVID Hospitals

Bhubaneswar : The Odisha government has approved the proposal to set up new dedicated COVID hospitals and additional facility in the existing COVID hospital in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Koraput.

In a letter, the Health and Family Welfare Department stated that the government has approved the recommendation of the technical committee to set up of COVID hospitals and additional facilities of the existing COVID hospital.

A dedicated COVID hospital (DCH) will be established at Medicine Building at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Besides, a the committee has recommended for establishment of COVID-19 facility for Obstetrics patients at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput; Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar; Kanungo Institute of Diabetes Specialities in Bhubaneswar, SUN Hospital in Cuttack and Srusti Hospital in Cuttack.

An additional 25 ICU will be established at Aditya Ashwini Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
