Odisha Conducts Over 68K COVID-19 Tests In Last 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar : A total of 68,090 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed on Thursday.

Out of this, the Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests count for 7288, the Rapid Antigen Tests count for 60,886 and TrueNAT tests are 116 in numbers.

While, antibody tests are done to look for the presence of antibodies, which are specific proteins made in response to infections. Also termed as Serological Test, antibodies are detected in the blood of people who are tested after infection as they show an immune response to the infection. Antibody test results are especially important for detecting previous infections in the population.
