NEET UG, JEE Main Exams 2020: Odisha CM Directs MLAs To Help Candidates

Bhubaneswar : With less than 48 hours left for the crucial JEE (Main) exam, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today appealed MLAs to extend all possible help to candidates in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and flood situation in the State.

“Students are the future of the nation and the State. They are part of our family. Hence, it is our responsibility to ensure that they do not face any problems in appearing the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) exam,” said Patnaik.

It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha government has withdrawn Covid19 lockdown and shutdown restrictions in the entire State for 12 days in two phases to allow smooth conduct of the annual NEET (UG) & JEE (Main) examinations.

There will be no lockdown and shutdown in force in the entire State from August 30 to September 7 and September 12 to 14 to facilitate free movement to the candidates and their guardians, examination personnel, representatives of service providers and logistics requirements connected with smooth conduct of JEE and NEET exams.

Earlier on Friday, Odisha government had announced that it will provide free transportation and accommodation facilities for the candidates from the State who will appear in the upcoming JEE (Mains) Examination from September 1 to September 6.
