NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting: Modi to Take Oath for Third Consecutive Term

The NDA parliamentary party meeting commenced at around 11:30 am on Friday in the Parliament’s Central Hall. During the meeting, BJP leader Prahlad Joshi announced that Narendra Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive time on June 9 at 6 pm.According to sources cited by India Today, invitations to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony have been extended to labourers from the Central Vista project, railway staff working on Vande Bharat and Metro trains, sanitation workers, transgenders, beneficiaries of central government schemes, and Viksit Bharat ambassadors.Reflecting on the NDA’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections, BJP national president JP Nadda praised the Prime Minister for his dedication, stating, “We extend heartiest congratulations to the Prime Minister, who spent every moment in the service of the nation. That is the reason that India is creating history today and NDA is forming a government for the third consecutive time with a majority.”Senior BJP leader and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh attributed the expansion of the BJP-led NDA bloc to Modi’s leadership, emphasizing that the alliance is driven by commitment rather than compulsion. Prominent leaders such as Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, HD Kumaraswamy, Nitish Kumar, and N Chandrababu Naidu supported the proposal for Modi as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party.
