Narendra Modi to Take Oath as Prime Minister for Third Term Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in today alongside his new cabinet at Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. This marks his third term, making him the first three-term Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru. The cabinet selection followed an intense 11-hour meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence yesterday.A three-tier security arrangement has been established at Rashtrapati Bhawan, where President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath. Commandos from Delhi Police’s SWAT and the NSG are positioned at strategic locations, as Delhi is on high alert for the event. The national capital has been declared a no-fly zone, with a ban on drones, paragliders, remotely piloted aircraft, and hot air balloons for the next few days.The ceremony will be attended by leaders from neighboring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, and the Maldives, under India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. Special routes have been arranged for the dignitaries from their hotels to the venue and back.
