President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, who today began his third consecutive term as the leader of a coalition government. This milestone puts Mr. Modi, 73, on par with the first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who won the general elections in 1952, 1957, and 1962. Joining Mr. Modi in taking the oath were Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, along with several other key cabinet ministers including J.P. Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and H.D. Kumaraswamy.
