Migrants Found on Streets & Rly Tracks will be Quarantined

New Delhi : All States/UTs are asked to ensure that migrants don’t resort to walking on road & railway tracks to their native places. In case they are found in such condition, they should be counseled, taken to nearby shelters & given food & water: Home Secretary to Chief Secretaries.

Today a similar case was found in state, A Bus carrying 30 Odia migrants from Tamilnadu’s Kanchipuram reportedly drops 15 passengers at OMP square in Cuttack following which they start walking towards Jagatsinghpur. There were 15 migrants from Kendrapada

After the new guidlines they will be restricted to walk on streets. Local Administration along with State Govt will take necessary steps for the stranded migrants to arrange vehicle to reach their destination or institutional Quarantine Centers.
