Lady Odia IAS Officer Becomes The DG Of Civil Aviation Security

New Delhi: Usha Padhee, joint secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been given additional charge as Director-General, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). She is first woman of India to hold this post.

The 1996-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer took charge after IPS officer Rakesh Asthana was posted as director-general of the Border Security Force (BSF) on August 17.

In May this year, Padhee’s central deputation was extended by two years
