India Reports Highest No. Of +Ve Cases In August

New Delhi: India has witnessed a record spike of more than 12 lakh positive cases of coronavirus in the month of August, the highest infections by any country during this month. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country has gone past 28 lakh, while more than 20 lakh patients have recovered from the disease so far.

A total of 53,866 patients have died of infectious disease so far in the country. However, the case fatality rate has declined to 1.90 per cent in India. There are 6,86,395 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which is 24.20 per cent of the total caseload, as per the Union Health Ministry
