Bhubaneswar : Secretary (5T) to CM, VK Pandian IAS officer drove Naveen to the venue of the state-level Independence Day function at Exhibition Ground. This marked a departure from past with a senior IAS officer driving the CM’s vehicle.
The Independence Day celebration was performed amidst tight Covid-19 measures and the Chief Minister chose to come to the function with his closest aide on the wheel.
The septuagenarian leader set an example for senior citizens who are more vulnerable to the deadly Coronavirus. The health experts have been hammering on extra precaution for elderly persons and children below 10 years.
At such a grim situation the humble IAS officer volunteered to drive Naveen to the venue himself taking extra care of the most popular leader of the state.
