Hospitals Refusing Admission To Patients From COVID Hotspots Warned Of Stringent Action

Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy has warned of serious action against hospitals/clinics reluctant in admitting patients from COVID-19 hotspot districts.
Taking to Twitter Tripathy has stated through his official handle @SecyChief that such acts are ethically wrong and illegal.

He has warned and informed that government action against wrongdoers will be serious.
In a subsequent tweet, the Chief Secretary has asked people to inform such instances on toll-free no. 100.

It may be pointed out here that there have been several reports in the mainstream media and social media as well that some private hospitals refused to entertain patients from COVID-19 hotspots especially Ganjam district recently.

The government had received much flak on this account on social media.
