Horrific video of Ex Sarpanch Assaulting a Pregnant Forest Ranger Goes viral, Aditya Thackeray ensures action

Mumbai: A horrific video of a man assaulting a lady forest ranger has gone viral on the internet. In the video the man who allegedly is the Ex-Sarpanch is seen hitting a pregnant lady officer and dragging her.

Reportedly, the dispute was about a forest labour transfer following which the Sarpanch and his wife started hitting the forest ranger. The video is allegedly shot by the ranger’s husband who also is a forest guard.

A case has been registered in the Satara Police station and both the accused have been booked. Maharashtra Tourism and Environment Minister Aditya Thackerey tweeted and confirmed the same.

Maharastra state women commission has also taken cognisance of the incident and further instructed the Superintendent of Police of Satara to take strict action against the accused.
