Bhubaneswar : In another step forward for providing care to the personnel in the industrial sector, the State Government has fastened steps for the creation of new COVID Care Centers (CCCs)by the industrial and corporate houses in their own facilities. Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy along with Principal Secretary Industry Hemant Sharma held an interactive session with the Chairmen and Chief Executives of the industrial houses on digital mode from Lok Seva Bhawan today.

Addressing the industry leaders, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said, “Government has created a large number of units under three-tire COVID care system. These are COVID Care Centers (CCCs) COVID Heath Centers (CHSs) and Specialized COVID Hospitals. Asymptomatic or mild-symptomatic corona positive persons are taken care in CCCs. Other patients are admitted to CHs and COVID hospitals depending on the degree of infection and the kind of care they need as per the guidelines of ICMR and the Health & Family Welfare department. More than 80% of the cases need only management in CCCs”.

Tripathy added, “Taking away the asymptomatic or mild-symptomatic persons from their home and social setting to isolation by detaching them from all social contacts is not good for their physical and mental wellbeing. At times, it becomes a traumatic shock to them. Considering this, the Government have decided to allow home isolation or institutional isolation in their own social setting”.
