Fifth Fodder Scam: Lalu Prasad Yadav Convicted

A CBI court on Monday has sentenced former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav to five years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 60 lakh in the fifth fodder scam case that pertains to the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.5 crore.

Lalu Yadav, The RJD Supremo was declared guilty on February 15 along with 46 others who are to serve three years of imprisonment. Of the 99 accused in the case, 24 were acquitted.
