Developmental works to kickoff in Puri: Says CM

Bhubaneswar : CM of Odisha Naveen Pattnaik today directed officials to start work on Puri Jagannath Temple Heritage Zone & Lingaraj Temple from Friday after a gap of two months.

Reviewing the progress of Puri HeritageCorridor project and EkamraKhetra project, CM Naveen Patnaik directed to resume work on them from 29th which was stopped due to COVID19 lockdown. CM advised to resume the work maintaining SocialDistancing and following Govt guidelines.

Land acquisition will be completed in 3 months for Sri Setu, Jaganaath Ballav Tourist Centre, Mahodadhi Market Complex & Musa River project while draft designs has been prepared for Sri Jagannath Heritage Corridor, Bada Danda Development, Admin Building and Jagannath Cultural Centre.

Land acquisition work will be completed for Ekamrakshetra Yojana soon. Design plan for the development of the area between Lingaraj Temple and Bindu Sagar is ongoing and the work will resume shortly. An MoU will be signed with Indian Chemical Institute for cleaning Bindu Sagar soon.

We’ve had a more than 2-month break in view of Corona Virus outbreak where all work was stopped. We must ease restrictions now & try and begin developmental works in Puri & Bhubaneswar by day after tomorrow: Odisha CM Naveen.
