Development Commissioner asks officials to finish projects in Swabhiman Anchal

Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has urged officials to expedite development projects in Swabhiman Anchal of Chitrakonda Block in Odisha’s Malkangiri.

Mohapatra reviewed the situation in a high-level meeting of ‘Socio-Economic Transformation and Upliftment’ (SETU) scheme for Swabhiman Anchal of Malkangiri district .

He took up matters relating to the welfare of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, integrated education projects, livelihood activities, empowerment of Self Help Groups, road connectivity, development of power distribution infrastructure, and construction of bridges.

In the review meeting, it was discussed that the Badapada-Janatapai 9 km stretch of road has been finished and the rest 2.5 km will be completed within two months. It was decided that the Maliguda-Doliamba road that passes through Rumanadi will be completed soon.

The review meeting revealed that 45 PWD roads and bridges are being completed. The work of six health sub-centres is underway. Thirty-two road projects have been undertaken through MGNERGA.
