After a 15 year old boy was swept away in a drain in the Soubhagya Nagar area of Baramunda, protests erupted questioning the state government. The fire service personnel reached three hours after the incident and searched the drains. Lack of light and oxygen made the search operation more challenging.
The body of the student was allegedly found near the Panchasakha drain after a gap of almost twenty hours. The fire service personnel found the body lying in a nearby field. Thereafter, it has been sent to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for post mortem and the family members have been called for recognising the body.
