Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium To Be Converted Into COVID Care Centres

Cuttack : Cuttack’s two major sporting venues Barabati Stadium and Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium will be converted into Covid Care Centres. The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has taken this decision after the rapid increase in Corona virus positive cases in the City.

According to CMC commisioner Ananya Das, Barabati Stadium will have 100 beds in its premises out of which 75 beds have already been put up in the AC Corporate Boxes. Meanwhile, there will be 150 beds installed inside the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium and the work is in progress at the moment.

According to a tweet by the Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha, both these stadiums will be used to admit low-risk asymptotic patients.
