BMC grants for Sital Sasthi

Bhubaneswar: In regard with the previous decision the car festival of Lord lingaraj was not allowed by the Khorda administration on April 1 due to the pandemic luckdown. But today Instead of the nation wide luckdown the BMC granted the permission for conducting the auspicious ceremony of lord shiva and Goddess parvati marriage which is popularly known as Sital Sasthi. But with the permission BMC also laid some restrictions for the Servitors who are going to participate in the ceremony.

As per the sources in the meeting it has been decided that the festival will be held without procession and decoration, mask and social distancing has been made mandatory for all the people, those who are suffering from any kind of health issues are not allowed to the ceremony, and the Servitors who are in charge should go through thermal screening.
