BJP’s First Government in Odisha to be Sworn in on June 10

The first-ever Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Odisha will be sworn in on June 10 at Bhubaneswar’s Janata Maidan, as confirmed by senior party leaders on Thursday. BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several chief ministers from National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-ruled states who participated in the election campaign will attend the ceremony.During the campaign, PM Modi and other BJP leaders had promised a June 10 swearing-in if the party won. Potential candidates for the Chief Minister’s post include former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP’s national vice-president Baijayant Panda, senior leader Suresh Pujari, Puri MP Sambit Patra, former Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, and former Chief Whip Mohan Majhi.
