Bhubaneswar : The 23rd death anniversary of the great visionary, statesman and leader Shri. Biju Patnaik would be observed across the State of Odisha somberly, without any pomp and gaiety on 17th April, 2020. Keeping in mind that the entire mankind is fighting the pandemic of Corona, Biju Janata Dal’s Hon’ble President and Chief Minister Shri. Naveen Patnaik has directed the party’s leaders, workers and well-wishers to observe the death anniversary of this great leader without any pomp and gaiety. He has advised that the Biju Janata Dal workers offer floral tributes to the photo of Shri. Biju Patnaik at their respective houses while maintaining social distancing. Along with this, they should also discuss and share with their family members about the sacrifice-driven life of legendary leader Shri. Biju Patnaik and his dedication and contribution to the nation and Odisha. He has further advised that they should also continue the social responsibility programme Jiban Bindu (blood donation) which has been running since long by the party. The Party’s Hon’ble President has also requested each worker, leader and well-wisher of the party to ensure that not a single person should face healthcare difficulties due to unavailability of blood. He has thanked all members for successfully conducting Jiban Bindu programmes as per his earlier directive. BJD President and Hon’ble CM Shri. Naveen Patnaik has expressed that he would forever remember the spirit of national service and commitment epitomised by the people donating blood at such difficult times.

BJD President and Hon’ble CM Shri. Naveen Patnaik has advised the BJD’s innumerable workers, well-wishers, leaders, office-bearers of frontal organisations of the Party not to step out of their houses under any circumstances and to offer their tributes and homage from within the confines of their respective houses.
