Another low Pressure To Trigger Heavy Rainfall In Odisha; SRC asks Collectors to remain alert

Bhubaneswar : The Special Relief Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary has asked all Collectors to closely monitor situation as heavy rainfall has been predicted due a low pressure area over north coastal Odisha and neighbourhood around August 23.

The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has forecast and issued warning for next four days.

August 21

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places of Malkangiri, Koraput, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.

August 22

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, And Jajpur districts.

August 23

Yellow warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri and Kandhamal districts.

August 24

Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts.

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over Angul, Sambalpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Nawarangpur districts.

August 25

Orange warning : Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall very likely to occur at Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri and Keonjhar districts.

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur in rest districts of Odisha.
