AIIMS-Bhubaneswar OPD Shut From July 10 Until Further Notice

Bhubaneswar: The walk-in Out-Patient Department (OPD) of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar will be shut from tomorrow (July 10) until further notice. However, other daycare services will be open for the patients.

Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Gitanjali Batmanabane shared the update.

She said, “The decision was taken since many of the patients, as well as, staff have tested positive for COVID-19 in past few weeks. Accordingly, other staff members and their close contacts have been placed in quarantine.”

Batambane added that patients will be able to contact their doctors through telemedicine service. Also, one of the premier hospitals in the State Capital will be launching its own application called ‘AIIMS Bhubaneswar Swasthya App’ which the patients can use for consultation.

She clarified that casualty and emergency service, radiotherapy, dialysis and other daycare services will be available for patients as before.
