ABFRL’s Supports Odisha Govt with 2.5 lacs facemasks

Bhubaneswar: As a part of it’s responsibility towards the society at this crucial juncture, when the entire universe is fighting to combat the global pandemic Covd-19, the Aditya Birla Group Company, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd (ABFRL) at its Bhubaneswar Unit, has come forward to associate itself in the battle by taking adequate measures to combat it.

It has so far supported Govt in manufacturing more than 2.5 lacs face masks which are being used mostly by the Covid-19 fighters like Doctors, Nurses, the Police and other health workers.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr Rahul Jindal, the Unit Head of ABFRL, Bhubaneswar says, “As a responsible corporate we believe in giving back to society and at this critical hour, we have stood with the Govt and the people of Odisha. We have produced 2.5 lacs mask so far and we have a target of providing around 5 lacs facemasks in near future. In this noble cause, our own employees are volunteering themselves considering this as a life time opportunity to serve the nation, adds Mr Jindal.

Mr Brajabidhu Chhatoi, the Unit HR Head, says “Our people are producing around 15000 masks per day and very soon we will meet the target of 5 lac masks. Besides, while doing so at our office, we also adhere judiciously to the norms of Covid-19 measures issued by the Govt. in regard to Social Distancing, ensuring proper sanitisation and other guidelines.
