Yellow Warning Issued for Thunderstorms in Odisha

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning across various regions in Odisha for the next two days. On July 9, the affected areas include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati. The warning extends to include Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar on July 10, alongside the previously mentioned regions.

Bhubaneswar and Puri are expected to experience cloudy skies with occasional rain or thundershowers on July 9. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are forecasted for several parts of the state until July 12.

Additionally, the IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal on July 13. Following this period, no weather warnings have been issued, though light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur in various parts of the state over the next two days.
