New Delhi: In a last-minute decision, the Congress Party revealed their candidate choices for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Surprisingly, Rahul Gandhi will be contesting from Raebareli, a seat previously held by his mother Sonia Gandhi, instead of making a bid to reclaim Amethi, which was lost to the BJP in the last elections.
Meanwhile, Kishori Lal Sharma, a staunch supporter of the Gandhi family, will be representing the party in Amethi. Despite efforts, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra couldn’t be persuaded to stand for Raebareli. The decision came after much anticipation and speculation. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her satisfaction with Sharma’s nomination, praising his dedication to public service.
