Kapil Sibal Quits Congress, Files RS Nomination Independently

Senior leader and lawyer Kapil Sibal filed his Rajya Sabha nomination as an independent candidate seeking support from the Samajwadi Party. The former Union Minister confirmed that he quit the grand old party on the 16th of May.

Sibal has been a part of the G-23 leaders and always has been vocal about vocal about problems within the party. His resignation comes after Sunil Jakhar and Hardik Patel, also well known faces of Congress quit the party previously this week.

Congress held a ‘Chintan Shivir’ in Udaipur discussing organisational changes in the party.
