Bhubaneswar : Lakshya Foundation, a leading social organization in Bhubaneswar honoured Odishalinks journalists for their contribution during COVID-19. Odishalinks’ founder Rakesh Roul and reporter Abha Anindita were conferred with the award.
Along with them, close to 40 other journalists were also felicitated for their contribution in these testing times.
The foundation which is working in social service sector also gave away personal safety kit to each of the awardees.
Anshuman Rath, Deputy Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipality and SK Nizamuddin joined as the chief guest and honored the warriors.
Renowned director Santosh Biswal, producer Tiki Patnaik and actor Rakesh Deo were among the guests present on the occasion.
The event was held at a government school following proper COVID-19 guidelines.
“Today, in the awake of the corona situation, the goal is to honor the journalists who are working tirelessly to creating awareness among the people,” he said.
Rath added, “Journalists are the mirrors of the society. Until and unless they don’t show us where we lack, we would not know. “
