Bhubaneswar : Odisha government today suspended Kalahandi Deputy Collector, Anisha Das for dereliction in duty.
Das, an OAS officer was earlier transferred to Kalahandi few days ago for her alleged nexus with minor mineral mafia during her tenure as tehsildar of Betnoti in Mayurbhanj district.
The OAS officer allegedly helped a minor mineral mafia by asking the police to release a morum laden truck without imposing penalty. An audio clip of Das allegedly demanding Rs 1 lakh to release the morum truck has also gone viral on social media.
