The Higher Education Department of Odisha has unveiled the first cut-off list for undergraduate (Plus-3) admissions across 1,051 degree colleges in the state. Ravenshaw University stands out with the highest cut-off rates in all four streams.
Out of 2,37,795 applicants, 1,78,976 students have been selected for the first phase of admissions. This includes 72,556 male, 1,06,414 female, and six transgender students.
The distribution of selected students is as follows: 45,614 in Science, 1,09,854 in Arts, 17,156 in Commerce, 3,574 in Shastri, 2,626 in self-financing courses, and 152 in Law. The total sanctioned seat strength for this academic year is 2,74,331. Ravenshaw University leads with the highest cut-off percentages: Geography in Arts at 89.67%, Physics in Physical Science at 91.17%, Zoology in Biological Science at 93.20%, and Commerce at 88.6%.
In the self-financing stream, BJB Autonomous College requires 87.4% for Biotechnology, while Madhusudan Law University has an 81% cut-off for the five-year Integrated BA LLB course. Radhamadhab Sanskrit College in Khurda tops in Sanskrit with a cut-off of 68.57%.
