The National Testing Agency (NTA) held a press conference on Saturday to address the growing demands for the cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2024) results. The controversy arose after a significant number of candidates scored exceptionally high marks, leading to an unusual number of top-ranked candidates.The Director General of NTA announced that a four-member high-power committee is investigating issues related to approximately 1,600 candidates from six examination centers. The decision regarding a possible re-examination will be based on the committee’s recommendations.Since the NEET UG results were declared on June 4, medical aspirants and the general public have expressed dissatisfaction and called for the exam to be canceled and re-conducted.
