NEET 2024 Re-Exam Results Declared: Counselling to Begin Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the NEET UG re-exam, held on June 23 for 1563 affected candidates. The results are now available on exams.nta.ac.in. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to start the counselling process shortly.

In related news, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into alleged irregularities in NEET UG’s conduct. Recently, the CBI arrested the owner of a private school in Godhra, Gujarat. The operation extended across four districts: Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Godhra.

Previously, the CBI arrested Ehsanul Haq, Principal of Oasis School and District Coordinator of NEET exams, Vice Principal Imtiyaz Alam, and another individual in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, on charges of tampering with question papers. They were questioned for hours regarding the alleged misconduct.

In Patna, a Special CBI Court has remanded two accused, Chintu Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, to CBI custody for three days in connection with the NEET question paper leak case.

On the political front, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned until July 1, 2024, following opposition protests demanding a debate on the NEET UG 2024 issues. President Droupadi Murmu addressed the joint sitting of Parliament, emphasizing the government’s commitment to a fair investigation and strict punishment for those involved in paper leaks.
