BJEM Turns 45: Foundation Day Celebrated in Grandeur

BJEM School, Bhubaneswar has celebrated its 45th Foundation Day with much pomp and festivities today. A grand show with a plethora of around 200 projects (live and model) on the theme of Indian Culture and heritage was held to commemorate the occasion.

Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest Padma Bibhushan Mr. Raghunath Mohapatra, eminent stone architect, expressed his delight with the performance of the school over four decades and congratulated the principal, staff members and managing committee for their relentless devotion. Mr. Mohapatra also felicitated the founding member of the school Mr. K. K. Nayak for his dedication and immense contribution.

The Chairman of the School, Mr. Raghunath Mishra said that BJEM School has been imparting quality education since its inception. Mr. P. K. Jena, the Manager of the SMC viewed that it has been a milestone in the journey of the school which has grown from a humble beginning to its eminent stature today. He also paid a rich tribute to all the founding members of the school. The Principal Ms. Sandhya Jena also highlighted few achievements of the school and appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and students to come up with a wonderful show.

The first session started with the cleaning of Buxi Jagabandhu statue, Prabhat Pheri, lighting the ceremonial lamp and pledge by all. Attending the valedictory as the Chief Guest, Dr. Digaraj Brahma, eminent writer and educationist expressed hope that the young children would uphold the value of the Indian culture and heritage throughout.

He distributed the certificates of merit to the winning participants. The entire show was witnessed by a huge footfall of parents and the distinguished members of BJEM Education Society. At the end, the colourful cultural performance by the students enthralled the audience.
