World’s highest Chenab Railway Bridge inaugurated by PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chenab Bridge. This railway bridge is the world’s highest arch-shaped railway bridge. Chenab Bridge is a milestone in the field of railway infrastructure and connectivity. Chenab Bridge is a symbol of magnificent architecture. This is the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project on the Chenab River. The Vande Bharat Express will run on this world-class bridge. It will connect Katra with Srinagar. Built in the Himalayan region, this bridge is unique in many ways.
It is taller than the Eiffel Tower and Qutub Minar.

Built on the Chenab River in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, this bridge is 359 meters high and 1.315 kilometers long. The structural steel design has been made in such a way that it can withstand temperatures between minus 10 and 40 degrees Celsius. So, trains can run on this bridge at any time of the year. It will not matter if the temperature drops or rises. The latest Tekla software platform has been used while building its structure. This information has been given by the Indian Railways. The speed of the train on this bridge will be 100 kilometers per hour. This bridge can withstand winds of 260 kilometers per hour. The life of this bridge is said to be 120 years.

Even if there is an explosion, this bridge will not be damaged. This bridge will even withstand a major earthquake. About Rs 1486 crore has been spent on the construction of this bridge.
