Bhubaneswar: The 22 Senior IAS Observers appointed by the Odisha government for districts will advise the Collectors in developing a monitoring and supervision system to effectively check the COVID-19 spread. This apart, the observers will help the districts in opening all economic activities by following the appropriate guidelines, advisories and SoPs issued by Government of India and the State Government.
In a letter to District Collectors, Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena said the Collectors will report to the Observer on any significant issue in their district on a daily basis. The Observers will then co-ordinate with various departments/agencies in resolving issues related to the allotted districts.
The Observers will undertake physical visit to the allotted districts at least once in a fortnight and make detailed review and assessment of the situation, the letter read.
