On Wednesday, the Supreme Court issued a directive for the immediate release of the founder and Editor-in-Chief of NewsClick in relation to a case under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta presiding over the bench deemed the arrest as “VOID” due to the Delhi Police’s failure to furnish the remand copy to the applicant, as reported by India Today.
