As the Southwest Monsoon advances, heavy rainfall has been observed in West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and isolated areas of east Madhya Pradesh. With a cyclonic circulation forming over Northeast Assam, rains are expected to extend to Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and other Northeastern states, including Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura within the next week.Meanwhile, heatwave conditions persist in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, and Jharkhand, with similar conditions expected to continue in Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
