Interim president of the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi asks for the resignations of PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) Chiefs of Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab, Manipur and Uttar Pradesh. This comes after the terrible performance of the party in the state elections where the Congress nearly fell flat. A CWC meeting was held in Delhi on Monday seeking reforms in the party.
The genereal secretary of the INC, Randeep Surjewala in a tweet wrote, “Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi has asked the PCC Presidents of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa & Manipur to put in their resignations in order to facilitate reorganisation of PCC’s.”
