New Delhi : On friday central statistics office released a data which shows that GDP grew by a slower pace of 3.1% in the fourth quarter of 2019-20.
During under review of the quarterone week of nationwide lockdown was observed. Growth was 4.2% in the fiscal year through March 2020, the Statistics Ministry said.
The full impact of the lockdown on manufacturing and services will become more visible in the June quarter. Economists expect the fiscal year that began in April will see the worst economic contraction in four decades.
